The Beginning

So here it goes.  John G, Brian B, and Bryan B, were all sitting at the bar on a Friday afternoon (5/27/11) after work.  All three of us have had our different issues in consistently working out and attempting to get into shape.  For myself, I have always been a "yo-yo".  I will work out for a length of time and then stop and gain everything back.  I also have a problem with making excuses and ultimately not being able to work out on a regular basis.  I can't speak for the other two, but I can tell you that we all had one common goal.....quit being fat asses.


With that being said, we all agreed that we needed the support of one another in order to build a consistent plan.  Also, putting a monetary prize behind this also has its benefits (which we will detail out once everything has been finalized), but not as much as the ultimate goal....quit being fat asses.


We will be using this blog to detail out our daily exercises and also using it to showcase the progress.  Every Thursday, we will include a picture of the three of us so that we can put together a nice pictorial timeline of the physical changes that we hope our bodies go through.  Bryan B. has asked that we take those pictures in tighty whities, but it was quickly shot down by the committee.


I hope you enjoy this blog and that you keep up on our progress.  We know that we are at the ultimate hand of accountability since we are posting this, but we are going to do this thing.

  1. My problem is the same as John's I do really well for a period of time and then just lose focus. I believe I have figured out how to handle my obsession with food, so hopefully working out will push me over the edge to getting in shape.

  2. How does one sign up for this? What are you guys doing to get in better shape?
    What exactly are the standards of this workout / effort?
    What is your goal? Is it weight based, or "feel better" based?

    Just something we put together. Only goal is to stop being a fat ass. No weigh-ins, no measurements. Just working out at lunch. All of us need to work out together. If you want in, I am sure that will be fine. There is a small nominal buy-in, but we can go over that in more detail if you are interested. Let us know.
